I have a TT Rainshadow, it's a similar design. Thanks for any info or experience you guys can provide! Lastly and not super important but does anyone know why seam tape can't be used and only silicone solution? The tape adds that extra level of confidence for me that water won't get in but it's probably just a mental hangup more than anything for me. However don't bugs come in through there? Or even rodents or other small animals could make it in there for warmth in the night. I assume this is so condensation can run down and outside the tent instead of down the mesh and inside the tent. The mesh along the length of the tent isn't sewn to the rain cover over the top. As far as I can tell the tent isn't completely closed in. I never see anyone complain about bug issues with the TTCB3 but I live in WI and the spring/summer is very buggy so it's a concern. Has anyone that used them ever ran into a situation where they can't set up the tent taught? The TTCB3 seems long which might add to the issues in tight quarters. However I have never set up a non-freestanding tent. The TTCB3 weight, size, and thicker material got my attention. They all were either too heavy or made from material too thin to have confidence in.

Everyone seems to recommend freestanding double wall tents especially starting out. As I got more into backpacking I have only used a hammock. I have only ever used a Colman tent for car camping. I'm strongly considering ordering the TTCB3 but I have some concerns. For example: For a video comparing different gear the "TLDW" comment should contain, at a minimum, the list of gear compared, and a basic overview of how the review is conducted. Any youtube or similar video posted here must be accompanied by a paragraph description of the video itself as a comment.Referral Links must be clearly marked as such, and a non-referral link must be provided as well.
